This book provides a detailed classification of tumours and tumour-like lesions occurring in the sinonasal tract, the nasopharynx, the larynx, hypopharynx and trachea, the external ear and the middle and inner ear. It is a revised and expanded version of the first edition, which was published in 1978. Many tumour types have been added and some have been re-defined in the light of current knowledge. A total of 97 tumour types and 50 tumour-like lesions are described using internationally accepted terminology, histopathological definitions and diagnostic criteria. The immuno-histochemical and electron microscopic characteristics of the tumours are given wherever relevant to their identification but the classification and definitions are essentially based on the conventional techniques of light microscopy. This reference book on pathology, oncology and otorhinolaryngology is intended for clinicians and researchers.
