Die Bereitschaft hangt weitgehend von dem Abstand zwischen dem Sozialhilfeanspruch und dem Nettoeinkommen im Falle einer Erwerbstatigkeit ab. Und dieser Lohnabstand ist in vielen Fallen gering, wie die Studie im Detail zeigt. Berechnet wird das potentielle Erwerbseinkommen fur zehn Haushaltstypen, differenziert nach zahlreichen Branchen in West- und Ostdeutschland. Damit sich Arbeit mehr lohnt, gilt es, das Sozialhilfe- und Tariflohnsystem zu reformieren. Vorschlage dazu werden in der Studie gemacht.
