Operations Research beschaftigt sich fast ausschliesslich mit mathematischen Optimierungsmethoden zur bestmoeglichen Entscheidungsfindung in der angewandten Betriebswirtschaftslehre. Die fur die Praxis wichtigsten Teilgebiete werden in diesem Werk besprochen. Dies sind lineare Optimierung, Spieltheorie, Transportprobleme, ganzzahlige Optimierung, Graphentheorie, Netzplantechnik und Simulation. Bewusst wird hierbei auf die exakte mathematische Darstellung und die Beweisfuhrung der vorgestellten Verfahren verzichtet.
