Karl Brunners Altenglische Grammatik ist eine Neufassung der Angelsachsischen Grammatik von Eduard Sievers. Sie erschien zum ersten Mal 1942 und fand sogleich allgemeine Zustimmung. Plan und Aufbau des Werkes haben sich bewahrt, sie sind darum auch in der dritten Auflage gleich geblieben. Im einzelnen bringt diese jedoch zahlreiche AEnderungen und Verbesserungen, in denen auch neuere Forschungsergebnisse ausgewertet werden.
