Der Sammelband, der auf eine 2003 in Szeged/Ungarn durchgefuhrte Tagung zuruckgeht, greift in die aktuelle Diskussion um theoretische Zugange zur Grammatik der gesprochenen Sprache ein. Ausgehend von der UEberzeugung, dass das derzeit bestehende Theoriedefizit nur durch eine breite Diskussion moeglicher Theoriebausteine geschmalert werden kann, dokumentiert der Band verschiedene Ansatze zur grammatiktheoretischen Verortung gesprochener Sprache, wie Construction Grammar, Interaktionale Linguistik, Theorie des Nahe- und Distanzsprechens sowie UEberlegungen zur Bedeutungskonstitution gesprochener Sprache.
