Diese Arbeit uberpruft an Hand einschlagiger Daten des Deutschen die These, dass sogenannte w-Exklamativsatze eine interrogative satzgrammatische Bedeutung haben und daraus folgend die Annahme eines Satztyps w-Exklamativ nicht noetig ist. Es werden sowohl eingebettete w-Satze im Zusammenhang mit der Bedeutung und dem Selektionsverhalten bestimmter sie einbettender Pradikate als auch selbstandige w-Satze in ihrer Verwendung als exklamative Illokutionen in konsistenter Weise analysiert, vor allem unter Berucksichtigung derjenigen w-Satze, die in beiden Kontexten ausgeschlossen sind.
