Herder Yearbook / Herder Jahrbuch
Herder Yearbook / Herder Jahrbuch
For the seventeenth time, the Herder Yearbook provides a selection of current research on Johann Gottfried Herder. This edition is a collection of research articles concerning Herder's thoughts on the "Book of Nature," on the Journal of My Travels and Herder's reception of Locke, Hutcheson, Home and Burke as well as his analysis of Swift's influence on Herder, including the transcription of two of Herder's previously unpublished manuscripts. In this year as well, the Herder Yearbook is continuing with its comprehensive Herder bibliography of primary and secondary literature including indexes. The volume concludes with four reviews of current literature on Herder. The Herder Yearbook is published every two years on behalf of the International Herder Society and provides interdisciplinary research contributions to all aspects of Herder's work as well as to its contexts within the history of its origin and of its reception.
