Excerpt from Die Chirurgische Anatomie in Ihrer Beziehung zur Chirurgischen Diagnostik, Pathologie und Therapie, Vol. 1: Ein Handbuch fur Studirende und Arzte; Die Obere Extremitat Wie in der Gesammtlange der oberen Extremitat lassen sich nach meinen vielfachen Untersuchungen auch an den Skeletstiicken des Schulter giirtels Unterschiede in der Langenausdehnung leicht nachweisen. Scapula wie Clavicula sind rechts regelmassig etwas langer wie links. Der Unter schied betragt an beiden bei kraftigen Erwachsenen durchschnittlich bis 1 Cm. Besonders regelmassig finde ich diese Bevorzugung in der Lange der rechten Clavicula. In der Breitenausdehnung zeigt das rechte Schulterblatt in der Regel keinen, oder doch nur einen geringen Unterschied gegen das linke. Aueh die Muskulatur der Schulter und des Armes pflegt durchschnittlich rechts viel bedeutender entwickelt und ihre Kraftleistung rechts erheblich grosser zu sein, wie links.
