Der gr ere Teil der Papyri war schon vorher mit vollem d104e ver ffentlicht worden (vgl. S. Llf. Des Catalogue ge'n ral), teils von Grenfell und Hunt in den fayum towns and their Papyri und in den oxyrhynchus Papyri, Teil I - III, teils von E. J. Goodspeed in den decennial Publications of the University of Chicago, Vol. V, Der verbleibende Rest enth lt aber ebenfalls noch manche Urkunde, die es w nschenswert macht, da ihr d104 in vollem Wortlaute beka1mt werde. Um diesen Rest einer Bearbeitung zu unterziehen, wurde ich mit Unterst tzung der Kaiser wilhelm-stiftung zu Berlin sowie der cunitz-stiftung zu Stra burg im Winter nach Kairo entsandt. Das Ergebnis meiner Arbeit sind die hier vorliegenden d104e. Dieselben beschr nken sich auf die r mische Zeit; die Bearbeitung und Ver ffentlichung der byzantinischen Urk1mden erfolgt durch Jean Mas pe1'o. Zwar sind damit auch jetzt noch nicht alle d104e der r mischen Zeit ersch pft, doch bietet der verbleibende Rest soweit ich das in der zur Verf gung stehenden Zeit feststellen konnte inhaltlich nichts neues von wesentlicher Bedeutung.
