Collection agnes b. offers a unique view into the creative universe and artistic circle of French fashion designer agnes b., surveying the highlights of the art collection she has amassed over the decades. Her collection revolved initially around modern photography, including major ensembles by Brassai, Diane Arbus, Helen Levitt and Weegee, as well as classic pieces by Eugene Atget and Walker Evans. But the collection soon developed to encompass contemporary art and photography, adding works by William Eggleston, Andy Warhol, Larry Clark, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Nan Goldin, Seydou Keita, Richard Billingham, Martin Parr, Cameron Jamie, Mona Hatoum, Jim Shaw, Frederic Bruly Bouabre and Malick Sidibe. Major works from the collection are spotlighted in this volume, alongside contributions from Kenneth Anger, Jonas Mekas, Jonone, Futura, Edouard Glissant, Harmony Korine and Hans Ulrich Obrist.
