Born and raised in Vienna, Michaela Schweeger set the tone for the future architecture of the MPREIS supermarkets in Austria at the beginning of the 1980s. In her three decades of artistic directorship, a distinctive look has emerged that defines the economic and artistic position of this Tyrolean company: their interior and exterior spatial interventions and graphic designs follow a concept of diversity that is easily recognizable, yet possesses individual diversity. Schweeger’s design concept is versatile and extends to other disciplines.
