Author’s Biography Born in Haiti, Marc-Henry Jean is an ambitious, motivated, and inspired person. He survived two hurricanes, in 2004 and 2008 respectively, in his hometown of Gonaives, as well as the catastrophic earthquake that killed more than two hundred thousand people in Port-au-Prince on January 12, 2010. Marc-Henry received a strong Christian education at College Immaculee Conception in Gonaives and Institution Saint-Louis de Gonzague in Port-au-Prince during high school. He dropped out school during his freshman year at the University of Paris 8, Saint-Denis, France before moving to America. He earned his Associate of Arts at the State College of Florida and transferred to the University South of Florida, Sarasota-Manatee to pursue his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree with a concentration in Management. In the summer of 2018, Marc-Henry served as a Support Associate Relations Intern at Publix Corporate for the Human Resources department. He has been a proud Publix associate since December 2016. He believes the company contributes significantly in his professional and leadership development. He is grateful and fortunate for the experiences he is acquiring at Publix, which will help him to be well prepared when he will go back to Haiti. Marc-Henry, his wife, Rose, and their daughter, Markayla, live temporarily in Bradenton, FL. His book, Growing Together in Prayer, Reflection, and Action, is an invitation to everyone to unite in prayer, reflection, and action to give birth to a new Haitian; the master piece for the new Haiti.
