This book is about a day, celebrated annually on 14th of February: Valentine’s Day. Connected with romantic love and fertility, billions of people around the world exchange cards, flowers, chocolates and other lavish gifts with their loved ones.
Our story starts in the beautiful city of Cambridge, England, literally meaning ‘bridge over the river Cam’. Originally called Granta bridge, an old Celtic word used to describe a not very appealing ‘marshy river’, the town really got its name when various colleges and hospitals were built during medieval England. Henry VIII and his many unfortunate wives were in power at the time, and instead of reforming or destroying everything on their way, as they normally did, paradoxically decided to embellish the city. St John’s, Trinity and King’s colleges soon became rivals, and are still today the main educational buildings in the city.
This is where our main characters decided to enrol as students. Will our friends fall in love on Valentine’s Day or trip on something unexpected?
