This book examines the dynamic that fiction introduces in Les Essais. After a detour through fictiones legis, it demonstrates the role of fiction in Pyrrhonian inquiry and how, far from the equivalency of discourse and reality, fiction allows us to understand the philosophy of the work that incorporates it.
