This study approaches the theater of Derek Walcott and Aime Cesaire through the prism of relation (Edouard Glissant’s theory)-while also drawing upon Hegelian dialectics and the dramatic theory of Bertolt Brecht in order to provide new perspectives on the aesthetics of these authors.
