Jean-Francois Champollion dit Champollion le Jeune, ne le 23 decembre 1790 a Figeac (Lot) et mort le 4 mars 1832 a Paris, est un egyptologue francais. Premier a dechiffrer les hieroglyphes, Champollion est considere comme le pere de l'egyptologie. Il disait de lui-meme: Je suis tout a l'Egypte, elle est tout pour moi .
