Sadness and Short Bliss: Plus the Undefined

Sadness and Short Bliss is the debut poetry collection from the London-born writer Kyomi Wade. With poems spanning 7+ years, they explore the thoughts of a pensive - and sometimes tormented - young woman, growing up, falling in love, mourning loss, assigning emotions and making sense of the world.

And yes - it is as intense as it sounds!

Divided into three sections: Sadness, Short Bliss and The Undefined, Sadness and Short Bliss explores what lies beneath the emotions of ‘sadness’ and ‘bliss’ and binds it together with a bunch of ‘undefined’ emotions too. Friendships are touched on, as well as sisterhood, mental health, and musings about London, but love is by far the star of the show.
