Brampton Poets is a name assumed by a group of people who meet monthly in the Community Centre in Brampton, Cumbria, UK. The group was born out of a Poetry Breakfast event in the Theatre by the Lake in Keswick in 2016, under the umbrella of Words by the Water, at which people were invited to gather for breakfast and to read poetry: their own or that of others.

Ena and Gilbert Hutchinson, Brampton residents, took the concept back to Brampton, contacted a number of acquaintances whom they knew to be interested in poetry and suggested adopting the same format on a monthly basis.

The idea of this anthology was prompted by the meetings of the group. Brampton Poets 2019 is an Anthology of samples of poems from 6 members of the group with the intention of sharing their creations with a wider public.
