Selected papers from the first seven Othello’s Island Conferences held in Nicosia, Cyprus on medieval and early modern studies, held at the Centre for Visual Arts and Research (CVAR) annually between 2013 and 2019. Edited by Jane Chick of the University of East Anglia, and Michael Paraskos, of Imperial College London, the volume covers diverse topics, ranging from non-figurative mosaics in late-antiquity, to various reinterpretations of Shakespeare’s Othello, to visits by Lithuanian aristocrats to Italian spas amongst other topics.
