Jimmy Craig Andrews, or formally known as Jason Stephens, at the age of 2 and with his sister aged 6, was abducted by child abusers Joe and Mary, taken from the front garden of their auntie’s house in London to outside Liverpool and kept for a number of years. Jimmy escapes to a life on the streets in Liverpool City and ends up in another abusive home for boys and another stint of hard times. He ends up serving 2 of a 4-year prison sentence and has had enough of life when released and decides to end it all, only to find out he isn’t who he thought he was. He goes back home to N. Ireland to find a new life on Shankill Road, and for a time is happy when he meets his Annie and has a son who he adores, but he doesn’t get to find out how his life would have been, when an old life catches up with him.

Jimmy’s story is of a young boy who has endured a life of abuse and never loses his demons but learns to become a different person under the influence of the Ulster Volunteer Force and the dark secrets of the power struggle in Ulster. This book will keep you intrigued from start to finish and as you see a different side to an abused boy, then man, you will understand his life and how it turned out.
