And Cheiro was gorgeous. Men and women swooned in his presence. Stunningly handsome and filled with charisma, he never turned down an adventure.

Inventing a persona suited for greatness, he told tales about being in places he'd never visited and of spending time with people he'd never met. And yet, some of his wilder claims were true.

For decades, everyone had heard of Cheiro. He was one of the first modern celebrities. Even today he's still revered in some circles, and his books have continued to sell for over a century.
