Trollrider: The Last Kriger

KRIGER -NOUN (kree-ger) Norwegian: meaning Warrior. I am a Kriger. The last one. My Grandfather was a Kriger too. How could a twelve-year-old boy possibly comprehend that kind of responsibility… or the incredible danger it attracts. But if I were to die tomorrow knowing I, like my Grandfather, was fighting for the good of all humanity I would die with nothing but pride. My name is Brandon Ballard and I am the Trollrider. At the heart of Trollrider resides a fable concerning being true to the earth and pursuing life choices that promote harmony and balance with nature. Trollrider tells the story of a young man who discovers the existence of a clan of trolls hiding from the modern world within his grandparents’ ancient forest; sheltering from persecution and the destructive greed of the modern world. Pursued for their blood through the centuries by a shadowy organisation known as the Manejegere, the trolls are protected by men and women of good heart who joined hands to protect the purity of this ancient, and gentle, race. When Brandon’s grandparents smuggled the last trolls to safety from Norway, they became the last of the Trollfolk Kriger: warriors for the troll people. And once Brandon discovers the family secret, he too is destined for the Kriger path. With Brandon’s understanding of the world turned upside down, and with new insight, he must rise above his fears and answer the call to adventure… the call to become ‘the last Kriger’.
