Eliza had always hoped that there were fairies and gnomes in her garden, but she had never seen one. Then one magical night, all that changed! Not only does Eliza get to see a gnome, but she gets to meet one and more! Eliza begins a quest to come to the aid of her new little friends in the most difficult of circumstances.
As Eliza soon realizes, at 6 ¾ +2 days, she is limited in what she can do to help her new friends and so enlists the help of Mr. McGuigan, a kindly old neighbour with a special fondness for Eliza and the little people . Of all the grownups Eliza knows, she knows that Mr. McGuigan is the one who can help her the most. Their relationship becomes the centre point to help the gnomes.
With much planning and care, these two friends set about learning all they can about the gnomes living in Eliza’s garden. When an unexpected storm blows up and threatens all their safety to say nothing of extensively damaging the garden, Eliza and Mr. McGuigan become essential in assisting the gnomes to save the garden and one very particular inhabitant.
Join Eliza as she discovers that even at 6 ¾ +2 days old, she isn’t too small to be a big help! Children have a special ability to see the magic in the world, especially when they are truly kind and respectful.
This delightful and whimsical tale of her adventure is full of magic and wonder that you too can discover the world beyond our own, where fairies and gnomes go about their days in the most mystical of ways. Maybe you will discover your garden has gnomes too, if only you know where to look.
