Poet in the Wilderness

Recent years have brought about a crisis of faith for many who have grown up Evangelical.

Rachel Freeman is one of those individuals.

Striking out into the wilderness of liminal space has been disorienting, but she has used poetry as a deconstruction and regrowth tool. Through the writings in this book she has worked to exhume the truth buried in the Bible, to clear away the dirt heaped upon us, to sort through what relics do not hold value, and to polish the gems she discovered along the way.
