This collection of poignant, insightful poems and short stories are a window into Tara Shannon's creative mind, sparked by many of Tara's life challenges. This beautifully curated collection sings with depth, nodding to Tara's Irish descent all the way up to current-day topics. Tara works daily to better her mental health and overall well-being, and it was from her experience with childhood trauma, surviving cancer, a late diagnosis of autism and ADHD, the loss of her parents, and a lost pregnancy that led to the publication of her first two titles, Rabbit & Bear Make a Wish and Rabbit & Bear Return with the Light. Although Gather the Stars and Hang the Moon is a departure from her Rabbit & Bear characters, Tara's raw, authentic, and relevant voice still shines through.
