The story takes place in the year 2117. It follows the actions of several United Colonies of Earth military officers as they recover from an attack that followed a horrible discovery. They must pull themselves together and track down an enemy from another dimension. This enemy is driven to destroy all human life in the solar system, but this enemy is not the only one they will face through their adventure as an ancient evil waits on the outer part of the solar system.
