These poems, written when the author was in her seventies and eighties, recall the joys and sadness of earlier times, life as a widow after nearly sixty years of marriage, and the emotions that overwhelmed her after the death of her husband. Ultimately, these are contemplations on a loving, fulfilling, and in many ways, remarkable life. Gloria Fox was born and raised in Ontario, Canada, but has been a long-time resident of New York City. She began writing prose and poetry after her husband died in 2007, and she went on to write a memoir, One More Time: A Journey of Love and Loss, which was published in 2016. This is her first collection of poems.
