I Am… I Can. (The Chameleon) is the seventh in my series of children’s books. It is about self-confidence and encourages children not to be afraid to be themselves. The whimsical illustrations help to tell the story of a boy pretending to be a chameleon who can change colors. He believes that the camouflage of colors will help keep him hidden from the judgment of his friends. But once he becomes brave enough to go outside without his colors, he realizes his friends can see him. The children congratulate him and convince him he is special and no longer needs to be afraid.
