This book is about a fictional character named Mimi who grew up in the small southern town of Venice, Alabama located on the borderline of Alabama and Mississippi. She was the only girl in a family dominated by older brothers who challenged her life mentally and emotionally. A strange thing happened to Mimi on the way to the outhouse one night that left a gap in her soul. She experienced roller coaster relationships, but Mimi had the courage to get up, get over it, and keep moving. Was she blinded by love or stupidity? Nevertheless, she quickly learned how to mourn the death of a bad relationship for that pot of gold at the end of the rainbow and envisioned that her life was worth living.
