After being evacuated she celebrated the end of WW II in Bavaria and eventually moved to Westphalia where she got married and shortly thereafter emigrated to Canada for 3 years. Cincinnati was the last move where she still lives near her three children, each one of them being born in a different country. Vera is the author of The Love Trap and WW II (through the eyes of a child . Her poem I remember has been published in the For a Better World 2019 Book of poems and drawings on peace and justice.
