The Children of the Blue Nun is a novel based on an actual person who lived in the 1600s. She was a famous mystic, bilocator, and biographer of the Blessed Virgin Mary’s unknown life and times, dictated to this Nun by the Virgin herself. She wrote a series of books titled The Mystical City of God.

Author, Deacon Larry Torres, Professor Emeritus of the Archdiocese of Santa Fe, New Mexico, has condensed the Venerable Maria de Agreda’s life into a dual-language novel in both English and Spanish and framed it within an American-Southwestern context suitable for its time.
