This sixth novel in the series about the Father’s Touch Ministry illustrates the costs of trying to help people with unwanted same-sex attraction and gender confusion. The ministry continues to grow in spite of the opposition from militant pro-gay groups, especially the Gay Enforcers. There continues to be incidents involving harassment and violence. In spite of it all, the people who frequent the centers and safe houses are changed for the better. Focusing on the spiritual aspects of addictions can result in changed lives. The Gordons, Formosos, Halls, and Father Gilligan continue to play a vital role in keeping the ministry moving forward. In the midst of tragedy, love still blossoms for some of them. And it is still a mystery why the staff members remain so committed to the ministry and its divine purpose, while serving in the inner cities and other challenging locations.
