The Tokpar race is divided. Within this social turmoil, Jonas, from one faction, falls in love with Teresa from another. A failed kidnapping of Teresa ends in tragedy–and sets Jonas on the path toward revenge and justice.

Though a dark story runs through Essence of Tokpar: Finding Balance, the characters are inherently a peace-loving people searching for balance in their lives which ultimately can bring about the joy they all seek.
