The author of Act of Kindness, Vera Adjin, was born in Ghana, West Africa in a small town called Apowa. The life in Africa was difficult, as most parts of the world would know, as the person had to walk miles to get water for the family. Vera Adjin was no stranger to that, as the author had to walk around 8 miles round trip to fetch for water. The author would attend elementary school in 1965, migrate to the USA, and attend college there. This move eventually concluded with a Bachelor's degree in Nursing from a university in New Jersey.
