She has also written articles for LifeWise, a Focus on the Family magazine, and the story of her life has been featured in its pages. She has been interviewed on radio and television shows in several states. She enjoys traveling, writing, and meeting new friends.

Edna's family calls her "Mimi." She is incredibly proud of her two adult children, Patsy Farmer and Jack Ellison; their spouses, Tim and Wendy; and granddaughter, Blakely.
