Secrets of the Erilaz

Naryan, the heir apparent to Satoria, has always preferred the company of wine over the weight of responsibility. When his father, the king, mysteriously dies, Satoria's future falls into his incapable hands, and Naryan must learn to tame his vices or risk plunging the kingdom into further chaos.

While still learning to navigate his new role as king, an enigmatic Mage-an Erilaz-appears, wielding magic once thought lost to time. In a kingdom where sorcery has been forgotten, this display of power stirs fear and unrest among the people. Civil upheaval erupts, and to top it all off, the neighboring kingdom of Chromer declares war on them in their weakened state.

But the greatest threat comes from within. Betrayed and overthrown in a vicious coup, Naryan must flee, forced to confront the knowledge of ancient magic within him. With war at his doorstep and enemies in every shadow, Naryan must master newfound powers, reclaim his throne, regain the lost trust of his closest friend, and unearth a conspiracy going back centuries.
