The Mount Sinai Text is a book to help one understand the divine commandments of God. These are popularly known as the 10 Commandments. The 10 Commandments were fomally given to the Jewish people after their exodus from the bondage and slavery by the Egyptian Pharaohs for 400 years. Once they were freed, their leader Moses was directed by God to bring them to the base of Mt. Sinai where they waited while Moses ascended the mountain to meet with God. God then wrote the 10 divine laws of morality and ethical behavior for the people to pass down throughout the generations immutable to this day.
