Anywhere But Here, Anyone But You is a novel in verse, a love story written in 144 poems.

Every night, Bethany wanders her small town to avoid her father's drunken rages. She's one short summer away from escaping for good, and nothing is getting in her way. That is, until she finds herself trespassing at Wells Ranch, home of the famous Jason Wells, in the middle of the night to win a bet. Jason is everything you'd expect from a small town ranch owner-the hat, the boots, the godforsaken belt buckle. Bethany doesn't have time for cocky cowboys.

But when Jason takes an interest in Bethany's unfamiliar life, she finds herself with a companion on her late-night wanderings through town. Jason knows she's running from something, and he's determined to find out what it is. Over the summer, as they creep through churches, hang out in cemeteries, and meander through grocery aisles, Jason and Bethany become friends, confidantes, and something so much more.

But Bethany knows the clock is ticking. At the end of the summer, she's planning to disappear forever, and she'll have to decide if she's going to leave Jason behind...
