How to Get a Golf Scholarship to Stanford is a parent's guide to achieving the goal of getting a golf scholarship to Stanford. It is written for those who want to dedicate themselves to accomplishing a great goal: to get their kid to play golf for Stanford. Parents will learn about the academic and athletic challenges to achieve this goal. While my son's goal was to play for Stanford, it was a team effort to get to that school with an offer of a golf scholarship. The right people need to be engaged to help facilitate this accomplishment. This guide is a handbook for what to expect and what to do to accomplish that goal. Achieving this goal will be one of the most gratifying experiences for young golfers and parents to accomplish something of this magnitude. This is written by a father who endeavored to help his son achieve his dream of playing golf for Stanford. The book will guide any parent seeking an outstanding education at Stanford through a golf scholarship and how the community of Stanford takes care of each other.

There are a number of steps that parents need to take to earn a golf scholarship to Stanford. The academic preparation starts early with a great deal of reading and learning. A good student is required for the academic requirements of Stanford, so an early start is necessary for that to be accomplished. Parents will need to start the child with golf at an early age and get them motivated to play the game. Certainly going a country club will be a requirement in order to give the child the maximum time to learn the game. Parents will also make sure there is plenty of competition for the child. Playing in golf tournaments is a prerequisite for making a player who can compete at the college level. There will be a great deal of time practicing the game and so a facility will need to be available in order to accomplish that goal.

If and when the child has accomplished a successful golf life, contacting the coach around the 7th or 8th grade will show him or her how motivated the kid is to play for Stanford. This and much more can be done to accomplish the goal of play for that great college.
