What is unique about this book?

Its story telling format is a new concept and has not been attempted before by other books, based on my awareness, in the science-fiction genre. This is a science-fiction adventure book with funny moments in the microbial world between the micro-buddies and Karen the female scientist, and it is also educational at the same time because the reader gets to know about and understand how basic microbiology research is done, what the daily life in a science lab is like, and on the other spectrum - about microbial ecology. There are microorganisms that talk to Karen (which is the fiction part and the only fiction part) in her research culture flask that she is studying. They are fun, they are adventurous. Their microbial world is filled with mutual and competitive relationships, akin to how the human world is. Both these worlds are shined in the novel through the story-line to educate the reader about how similar the microbial world is to the human world and yet also how different.

Storyline

Stumbling across a magical way to enter her culture flask, Karen meet Buddy Longtail, a friendly, spunky microorganism. Together, they are in for a thrilling and fun ride to explore the microbial world. Holding onto Buddy's flagellum, a friendship develops between Karen and Buddy. When Buddy's species is dying, Karen's skills as a microbial researcher is put to test. She cannot endure seeing the microorganisms die. What is killing Buddy's species? What does Karen do to help Buddy's species? This book offers a real world exploration of microbial ecology and explains the basics of microbial research in a simple, comprehensible manner.
