Blood Libel

Cole Pecker thinks he and his siblings are finally free of troubles. Harvest has come and gone. Wounds are healing. All those who have caused the Peckers trouble are behind bars. A knock at the front door late on Halloween night changes everything. Shots ring out. Cole remembers little else when he wakes on his houseboat the next morning, bound to his bed. A man from his past, a man who calls himself the Fifth Horseman of God, has escaped from prison with plans to take Cole all the way to the Gulf of Mexico.

When Cole uncovers the Fifth Horseman's plans to bring about the end of the world, escape no longer remains an option. A battle of wits months in the making builds as the two travel in search of an artifact that wields tremendous power. With each mile of river traversed, with dangerous allies helping the Fifth Horseman along the way, Cole's sanity slips a little each day, but Cole holds on to one certainty.
