After losing their childhood home and nearly losing their lives to a madman, the Pecker family just wants life to get back to normal. As Grace and Christian Pecker recover from their injuries, Cole Pecker goes to work on the family farm, but a mysterious artifact Cole discovered in once-flooded fields seems to have endowed Cole with mysterious powers. Cole tries to keep these powers secret, but a young documentary filmmaker has turned her attention to the Peckers when rumors erupt that Grace Pecker was raised from the dead. Grace and Christian try to shield Cole from the ploys of filmmaker Talitha Ferret, but Cole has developed a crush.

With the Four Corners Fair drawing crowds to the area, Cole cannot help letting secrets from his past slip. When a magician who claims to dabble in the dark arts discovers Cole has legitimate powers, Cole finds himself enmeshed in a scheme that forces him to reveal his powers to the world.
