The Case Against Christian

Cole Charles Pecker had grand plans to bring his brother and sister together and regain their family fortune. Cole's brother and sister have never gotten along, but both agree Cole's plans must change. Christian wants Cole back in a mental institution, where he can receive proper care. After a month on the road with Cole, Grace believes Cole can thrive on the outside with a little family support...but not in the old farmhouse where they were raised. After years in the Navy, Christian is convinced that with the right mindset, no obstacle is too high...except when it comes to Cole farming.

The crops that will save the family farm are in the ground, but Christian fears that they have been planted too late. The repairs to the old Queen Anne farmhouse are coming along, but Grace discovers a hidden cellar that terrifies Cole and becomes his new obsession.

Cole hears noises at night and sees strange lights. Sometimes, he still sees shadows, but he is certain that he can make those shadows disappear. Cole believes that he can hold his family together, but he is not so sure about the ground beneath them.

In April, Cole cast the demons from his house, but Cole knows demons do not so easily leave.
