Willa Cather, an American author, is the author of the book "The Professor's House. After many years of writing, the book finally saw publication in 1925. Cather first penned the central narrative, titled "Tom Outland's Story."

Subsequently, she penned the two chapters that serve as the framework, "The Family" and "The Professor." The author Cather became well-known for her work that focused on the frontier and pioneering experience.
