Glenn and Vicky Stover are a retired couple suddenly realizing the isolation, the desperation of too much togetherness as they sit alone on their couch and watch the Oscars on TV. In a pang of guilt, Glenn solemnly promises Vicky that a year from now he and she will be sitting live and in person as bona fide guests at the Oscars in Hollywood.
