Roland Woodward, a retired chartered forensic psychologist and dyslexic poet from the United Kingdom, has spent his life crafting poetry. Now, with time to dedicate to his passion, he has joined local poets and pursued publishing his work. His previous collection, The Cancer Years: So Far, captured his emotional journey following a prostate cancer diagnosis in 2019. He has also published The Travelling Years, a series of poems inspired by his travels as a clinician, and Herod's Children Crumulent Collection, which celebrates the theme of failure.

In this new collection, The Cancer Years: Some Rough Stuff, Roland continues to chart his battle with stage four prostate cancer. While there is no cure, he hopes to continue sharing his journey through poetry for as long as possible.
