Booth Mooney (1912-1977) is best known as the biographer of his friend President Lyndon B. Johnson, for whom he worked as a speech writer and assistant. He wrote three novels (Here Is My Body, Jewel of Gold and The Insiders) as well as the biographies The Lyndon Johnson Story and LBJ: An Irreverent Chronicle, among other non-fiction.
