A graduate of Prairie View A & M University, Gwendolyne earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering and certification as a teacher for the State of Texas of Texas. For 11 years, she taught school in the Houston Independent School District. For the last 25 years and at the time of this publication for Gwendolyne has worked for the City of Houston Public Library as the Safety and Wellness Manager.

Gwendolyne currently serves as the Elect Lady of the Evangelism Department of the Texas Central Metropolitan Jurisdiction of the Church of God In Christ, under the leadership of Jurisdictional Prelate, Bishop Frank E. Fanniel, Sr. and Jurisdictional Supervisor of Women, Mother Gladys Lockett-Ross.
