A Kentucky horse farm is the setting for this story about a missing woman. Her daughter, Amy Harris, arrives home to find her missing, although her car is stil there. Her grandfather welcomes her to his horse ranch where together they both try to find out what happened to his daughter, Vera Harris.

Amy notified the local sheriff, Frank Johnson, who doesn't seem to be in any hurry to solve this case. Amy and their two ranch hands do searches of their own to solve this mystery. She and Jeremy Rutherford find clues that they show to the sheriff. Months pass and Johnson turns up nothing. George Ingram confronts him about how Amy had turned up more than he had.

They decide to enlist the help of Mark Newton, the sheriff from neighboring county. Mark is a man that they soon learn to trust.

Johnny Ingram, George's son, has been stealing his horses and dealing with Frank Johnson to sell them, He is afraid that Amy will become an heir to his inheritance.

The case goes to court after the facts come out. Roger Baines, the D.A. shows the family that they can be at ease by just telling the truth.

The judge shows Sheriff Johnson his disgust at being a dishonest law enforecement figure by adding more time to his sentence.

This is a mystery that ends with people bonding together and showing how much they all care for each other.?
