The son of former NBA player Joe "Jellybean" Bryant, Kobe Bryant's life was steeped in basketball. Moving to Italy at six, he honed his skills with diverse play styles. He supported youth sports and education, and after retiring, won an Academy Award for his short film "Dear Basketball" in 2018.
